3d module filament latch doesn’t close

I try to use rubber bands as temporary solutions when printing still didn’t close does anyone have any idea to fix the issue ?

Does the little latch slide to the side? Is it work or damaged?

It work it sometimes closes but by huge force and filament will not feed

They can be hard to close sometimes as they need a bit of force to keep the filament feeding. Check that the feed wheel in pivoting on the spring. It should need a little force, but not a huge amount. Certainly should be able to press it in with your thumb.

Will not close if i losses all the screw that hold tool head with printer i can close it

I’m not sure how those screws at the back are affecting your closing the filament door. Are the screws you are using to attached the print module to the machine too long?
There were issues with people using the incorrect ones early on and it was causing various issues…

It is the correct one and it was printing before the problem occurred but now i can’t print because either the tension of the spring becomes very high so the filament will grove in extruder or the latch will not closes

The tension of the spring cannot change on it’s own accord.
If the filament was fine before but now is not, it’s a filament problem .

You have the wrong screws fitted? Should be shorter ones?

But still will not close even without filament

Sounds like some sort of physical problem. We don’t have enough information do solve it for you.

The photos look sane, nothing obvious. Can it be that you accidentily bought 2.85 mm filament instead of 1.75 mm?

Overlooked this post - if it does not close even without filament it cannot be the wrong diameter. Can you show a photo with the latch closed as good as you get it closed, and one photo with open latch, but showing the right interior side, so like your first photo, but looking from the left rather than from the right?

In the position shown by the latch in the 2nd picture, the flap cannot be closed. ???

The only physical interactions of the door are two hinges (the one holds the door, and the one that pivots the idler pully) and the sliding lock. If you can’t slide the lock left, check to make sure the mounting screws haven’t tightened themselves. There doesn’t appear to be any other physical barrier in the way by the pictures in the first post.

Also ensure the wheel is moving freely, maybe give a drop of oil to all the moving areas, slide lock, pivot, wheel, etc. I know mine can take a smidge of force to close. Also ensure you’re using M4x8 screws to mount it. I don’t know offhand where they land out, but maybe if you’re using too long of a screw, it’s pressing into the back of the feeder section and pushing it forward.

Looking closer, it DOES seem like the idle pulley has been pressing against the feeder gear and damaged it. Def check your mounting screws.
