2W IR for Yeti Mug

I have a bunch of (replica) Yeti Mug’s and was curious what good settings for the Yeti Tumbler’s would be (they all have a layer of powder coat on them).

I recently did an engraving of 3000mm/min and it turned out pretty well but I was not sure if I should use anything special for the powder coat

The powdercoat yeti actually works really well with the standard blue diode. I did a few Owala bottles and a couple yeti jr tumblers of various powdercoat colours with the 10W blue. 3000mm/min, 75% power, 0.075mm interval worked great. Just clean up with a melamine sponge (magic eraser) afterwards.

Thanks for the setup tips. I recently had success with Yeti type tumblers using your tips plus the DIY rotary by AlienWorkshop DIY Rotary

Just remember to use Line Fill and set the direction to horizontal to minimize turning. I also bumped down my jog speeds to reduce thrash.
