Hi all I have just received my new upgrade laser
I woul like to ask what is the new best speeds for engraving speeds to use when doing Yeti bottles
Thanks Wayne
Crickets. I’ve been searching for hours looking for settings. There are a bazillion for the XTools D1, but nothing for SM 10W.
Hi blue I will send you the settings I am currently running once I am home
I think it’s set to 28%
Wayne, as a follow-up to your last post about snapmaker settings,
- Are you still using the same settings for Yeti tumblers.
- Does the color of the tumbler make a difference (I’m trying to engrave a dark blue tumbler)
- Do you have any photos showing your results?
TIA
I have been using the DIY rotator setup.
10W Laser on Yeti-type Mug
With it, I’m set to line fill, horizontally, at 1000m/s (jog and workspeed), 40% power, 0.075mm interval.
I had to slow it down due to slippage, possibly with the type of wheels I am using.
Hi Pretz
This is the worst user forum as people are not very friendly or helpful.
I agree that other laser brands have been so much more helpful and if i could i would sell my snapmaker in a flash and get something else and i would definitely never recommend snapmaker to anyone.
Yes these are still the settings i have been using. It is a bit hit and miss with some of the colours the dark blue in particular is difficult as well as the maroon colours.
Its also important to insurance that the laser is perpendicular to the yeti and if you dont have a rotating base the print should not be wider that 35mm. If its stationary i have had some success going over the job twice.
Wayne, I appreciate your feedback. I haven’t had many interactions with folks on the forum, I’m just glad you reached out.
Overall, im happy with my machine; it’s not the best at any one thing but it’s pretty good at all of them.
