Anyone know what the dpi is for the 10w laser?
The laser spot dimensions are 0.05mm x 0.2mm, so it would probably be 127 dpi (25.4mm/in ÷ 0.2mm/dot).
If you have vector drawings, it’s always better to use vector mode.
Thanks wonder what the new lasers will be 20 and 40w?
I haven’t found any dot size specs, but I suspect they’ll be about the same. The only thing that likely changes is depth of cut and the air assist, the latter keeping the lens clean and reducing charring of the stock material.
