X-axis movement exceeded travel limit

I have a modest sized model (approximately 70x70x40mm) placed in the center of the build plate. It requires supports and as I am new to multi filament printing, decided to do the supports in a different color. This of course triggered the prime tower. I sliced it (SN Orca 2.3.1) and sent it to the printer. Shortly, it threw the error code and message of exceeding travel limit. After researching the web and here, found it might be related to Z-hop and this was changed as recommended. Tried again, failed again. Next we tried moving the tower, same results. Next tried moving the model and again failure. So out of desperation, dis-enabled the prime tower and tried again. Success!

So obviously I am having a prime tower issue and am looking for ideas to try am mitigate the problem.

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thank in advance.

This is a known bug and we are already optimizing it. You can refer to the following methods:

  1. Move the purge tower and model position
  2. Set the purge tower width to 28
  3. Set the purge tower color to: Default
Or submit a support ticket and contact after-sales for more specific solutions.

You can submit a ticket at the same time in case the technical staff or fellow users in the forum don’t respond promptly.

Thanks for the quick response.

  1. I did that and it had no effect
  2. It is set that way in
  3. if you mean “wipe tower”, it is also set that way.

Thanks for the suggestion to submit a ticket and I will follow the instructions given to try and do that also.
