I’m always a bit cautious and worried that the laser might break if it runs for too long continuously. Does anyone have experience with the 1600mW module for the original Snapmaker?
My next cut would be 1.5 hours, and my project will require many more cuts of similar duration. Can the device handle this, or should I better turn off the laser via G-code for 5 minutes every few minutes to pause the operation?
Personal suggestion:100 % power, continuous engraving: run 3–4 h, then cool at least 1–2 h.
I ran the 40w laser of the artisan for 8 hours nonstop and had no problems with it. Also the 10W. Yeah, the 1600mw is much older, but it is much less power.

I happened to notice that a 1.6W laser module can be purchased for 40€, so I simply ordered a spare to ensure I can calmly complete my project, even if something goes wrong.
