I had a print starting with spool 3 and a backup spool on 4 but the U1 did not continue the print when spool 3 ran out. I just got an error alert instead.
I had a different print the other day that did auto resume correctly (spool 2 → spool 3).
The filament type and color were set correctly for both spools. The only difference between the successful print and stopped print was that for the successful print, I did check to make sure the auto-refill was enabled. I did not check before starting the stopped print as I assumed it would be a permanent setting… and it is still enabled as I checked afterwards.
I was able to manually resume by moving spool 4 to spool 3. Just wondering why it didn’t use the auto refill to continue the print. Now there’s a slight shift on the print due to shrinkage overnight where it stopped.
yeah the material and color were set to match.. sorca doesn’t have many similar colors so it’s kinda hard to mess that up and there’s only one generic silk pla option
just went to take the print out and do a test of the auto refill and noticed the print has a separated layer where it resumed with the 2nd spool.. ugh.. 300g and time wasted.
Is there a suggestions box? I wanted to suggest adding a auto-refill status on the print preprocessing page that shows if auto-refill is enabled and which spools will be utilized.. similar to how it works for the bambu printers in orca.
so i ran a quick test for the auto-refill and while it did work, there was an unexpected result. as you can see the photo, there’s a significant gap from where it ran out of the first spool (blue silk) and started on the second spool (blue-green silk). The gap is from where it tried to print with the first color as i happened to be at the printer when it switched to the 2nd color.
