What would cause the printhead to move lower than the top of what is being printed?

So I am having a problem with jobs that looks like bed adhesion problems but in fact the bed has been moved, The adhesion was so good in one instance that the job was moved (based on the magnetic bed position offset) and continued printing based on the offset. I have to assume that the print head ran in to one side of the job. Always the heated magnetic surface is moved by the amount of the distortion. Is there some setting that might be responsible?

Which printing toolhead are you using?

The single nozzle.

Doubtful that the toolhead is moving down below the print. More likely it’s the print curling up above where it should be.
