It seems products based on publicly shared data from someone who made their own U1 top cover are being sold on AliExpress…

They sell a kit with everything except the model/printed parts. Esp the acrylic panels.

Is it okay to sell using data someone designed and published?
This is why I’m just waiting patiently for the factory cover… Its not that serious, I can wait a few more weeks. All these knock-off print yourself projects don’t seem that great or worth the hassle.
No offense to the amazing hard work @Simon_Zhi put into his! 
As mentioned above, they aren’t selling the design. They’re selling the acrylic panels you’d otherwise need to get cut somehow to go with the print.

There’s no need to spend time making one yourself, and if you’re going to spend money on something like that on AliExpress, wouldn’t it be better to just buy that mysterious Snapmaker genuine top cover? It’s like winning the lottery.

I dunno, I’ll probably do one of the tub covers. At least to see how the Snapmaker one turns out.
If I like and and get one, I’ll still have a new storage bin when I take it off.
