i cannot set the color and material on the machine for this toolhead, that is the problem. i can set it for all toolheads but not for that one, it shows the eye icon instead of the pen icon like on the other toolheads

Did you try unloading the filament & reloading it? It’s also possible the RIFD reader is picking up the tag from the dry box. Try putting a piece of tape over the chip on the spool.

I had this happen awhile back, if I remember correctly restarting Snorca fixed it. If not, load and unload again.

thanks all, i will do the unloading and reloading. Might be a good QOL improvement for Snapmaker to make the toolhead still editable for filament type and color even if it was recognized from RFID. no harm done in making it free to edit, then i dont have to waste filament by unloading and loading …

hmm now i’s getting really anoying; even after unloading succesfully, the snapmaker still indicates it has the black rfid detected filament… could not edit. loading manually again still kept the black filament…. i dont seem to ever get the chance to edit/change it…..

Yea they still have alot of work to do on Snorca, which is a shame because the U1 itself is so good. I’d personally love to see a profile on Bambu Studio, but I’m sure that will never happen.

That’s great to hear! I think it can be a really simple solution: basically allow for an “edit” of filament type and color even if RFID has recognized something already.
