U1 Homing Anomaly 0002-0528-0000-0011

I get this error code during initial setup and performed xy axis troubleshooting steps. Support said I may have made the two adjustment screws too tight so I loosed and did it again several times with various levels of tightness of these two screws. There was partial success twice with failures in selecting tool changers but never successfully completed the full initial setup. I upgraded to v0.9.4 with no improvement. I tried multiple times and verified the z belt tension per the Wiki and all appear to be smooth moving. I’m waiting to hear back from support for next steps but wondered if anyone else has experienced a similar issue. The machine is completely level which I initially suspected could have an impact if it wasn’t. All the toolchangers are successfully seated and everything else has been installed with no issues, I just can’t use it at all yet due to this initialization issue.

yes, i had the same issue. troubleshooting didnt resolve it. i shut it off moved the head to center of the machine, started up again next day it it worked fine. i have since encountered it 3 or 4 more times. the troubleshooting doesnt solve the issue, but when i switch off the machine completely and the move the head manually, usually that seems to fix it for me

I had the same issue during my first setup. Try moving the toolhead to the center of the bed and start the calibration from there. My assumption is that when the toolhead is left at the X/Y 0,0 corner(which happens because thats where belt tension guide suggest us to), it doesn’t move far enough during calibration, which causes it to think there’s an anomaly.

I noticed that the top front has a significant bow that I suspect is the source of my problem. I tried moving the toolhead to the center and this did not help. The door also has a slight gap at the top where the bow is most visible.

You need submit a ticket at the same time in case the technical staff or fellow users in the forum don’t respond promptly.

Yes, I had the issue right out of the box as well and it was very frustrating. My machine was initially unprintable and then after toolhead coordinate tweaks it would only happen from the top left home position like in your picture, then after firmware 9.4 the error became more rare.

Here is my post on it: Failure to launch - Calibration/toolhead parking errors - #27 by Cylonmode

Send a video of it to tech support and also send a pic of that bow in the middle, that is very significant and I’m not sure I’d accept that. Seems your printer was either damaged or assembled incorrectly.

Good luck!

Its my only problem with this great machine… Too bad its such a significant problem that only a few people seem to have.

Snapmaker has scheduled a replacement to be sent. There was no packaging damage so it had to be a manufacturing defect which should have been caught during QA testing.

That’s good to hear! Snapmaker has had some great customer service which is very refreshing coming from a 3D printer company.
