Just saw your note regarding completely uninstall: it also suggests to clear the local configuration of the orca application. I am on a MAC system here. Can I restore the profiles afterwards again by simply copying them into the relevant folders ?

Just a little heads-up - updated to 1.5.2.12, still the same error. (I know it wasn’t fixed yet, but wanted to test it anyway). Started a new print.

. If possible, you could run some first layer printing test.
My first attempt was not that good, but, that was all resolved after cleaning the printsheet with water + detergent followed by IPA.
I used the following filaments:
Snapmaker Snapspeed Red PLA - with the Snapmaker Snapspeed profile (both printer and Snorca).
Anycubic Basic Black PLA - with the General PLA profile on both printer and Snorca.
Anycubic Basic Brown PLA - with the General PLA profile on both printer and Snorca.
Soleyin Ultra PLA Light Green - with the General PLA profile on both printer and Snorca.
The trouble with small squares its they only show glaring errors in surface quality, you really need to be printing a 268x268x0.2 full bed to see the real picture - granted this takes time & filament though!
I must admit I’ve found /personally/ the U1 to be the hardest printer I’ve owned to dial in the 1st layer where quality is concerned, but got there in the end.
When I join the beta testing from the next issue I’ll try the standard 0.2 profile vs mine
I tried 2 prints with full printbed dimensions. Both went fine. (Except the parts where I touched the printplates with my hands, to bend the plate to remove the previous prints. I thought a quick IPA swipe would be enough. But just like with the smaller versions, a thorough hot water + detergent cleanup would have sorted this out). For myself this was a very good learning session to see this actually happen so clearly. (Usually a print would have multiple layers and it shouldn’t have been visible in the end product - and I would have thought it didn’t matter - and would keep doing it. So this learns me to wash it after every print, or don’t touch them at all. But these single layer prints are though to remove. So I did touch the plates more then in other situations).
