There are 2 files:
Snapmaker 2.0 CNC Tool Library.tools and
Snapmaker Original CNC Tool Library.tools
If I import the CNC tool for Snapmaker 2.0 there are no new CNC bits inside Fusion360.
If I import the Orignal tool file I find 2 CNC bits. (like they are included in SM2.0.)
Not 3 like they are included in SM Original.
Iām running the newest version of Fusion - but I think thatās not a Fusion360 problem.
Itās a Snapmaker problem.
For what is the āSnapmaker 2.0 CNC Tool Library.toolsā file ?
ATOM thank you for the answer.
You are right - it is a zip file.
I unzipped it and found a Java Script file with the decriptions of the tools.
So - something is in the *.tool file.
But the import of that *.json file brings the same result as importig the *.tool file - NOTHING !
It look like the Jave script is not correct - or the import format of Fusion 360 has changed.
Iāll compare bothe *.tool files - maybe I can find a reason.
I found the reason !!!
Inside the Javascript file there are 8 lines with Chinese letter.
Topic: Preset - variable: name - donāt know what the meening is.
I changed it into englisch words (just china1 - china8) - and now it works !
Seems, that Fusion360 German Version donāt like Chinese letters.
There are 2 possibilities:
Itās only a problem of the German version ā or
Nobody tried to use Fusion 360 for CNC (even the Snapmaker people)
brvdboss:
I looked at the GitHub page, but I cannot find the tool files. (*.tool)
I can only see the āposrprocessā file.
Can you help me please to find these *.tool files ?
regards
K.D.
Yeah, even in the English version of Fusion 360 some of the tools have Chinese text appear - no idea what they actually say but unlike the German version it doesnāt stop the files from importing. I kept meaning to log a ticket in Github but never got around to it.
