The 2w laser drives me nuts

Today i got my 2w laser!

So, i was really excited to do some stuff.

My idea was to laser a coin wich is 39,7mm.

So i took the coin on the left lower corner to the metal bed.

Somehow i dont know why , the laser allways lasers in front of the metal bed and rightside the coin.

I am using the quick swap kit and before it worked all good.

Somebody there who can give advice to work with luban?

Is your quickswap (and maybe bracing kit) set in your machine and Luban correctly?

You have to set you work origin at preparing a new project (lower left corner in your case) AND before starting the job on Luban workspace.
You should run a boundary check before starting to see if everything is in it.

Here is the startup guide:

Hi @xchrisd,

thanks for your reply.

yes did all this before, set also the correct work origin.

i could make it work after setting the "work origin on the machine to x= 17 and y = 15.

Then it get’s almost the correct point.

but that’s not how it should work.

Maybe this content helps you further:

Unfortunately, if you installed all correctly I have no more idea…

On the 2.0 there is a additional setting for the boundary laser beam intensity not sure if the ray got the option on the workspace?

So when you run a boundary scan, does this align with the coin? If so: There is an offset between the red crosshairs laser and the actual IR laser point. For me, the offsets are correctly in the settings and my laser aligns good enough with the crosshairs. If your boundary scan is spot on, but the laser is off, it might be that your offsets are somehow screwed up. On the touchscreen, you go to Settings - 2W laser - Cross Line Indicator Offset. The values I have there (factory settings): X Offset 21.8, Y Offset -10.596.

And, something I do wrong very often: When I carefully navigated to the work origin, I forget to hit “Set work origin”… I run boundary, it is completely off and I have to find the spot again - always angry with myself then
