Tall prints getting hit after print completes

Whenever a print taller than about 3 inches completes, the printer runs through its homing process which involves moving the nozzle bar down along the z-axis and then moving the print bed forward. This is great and all, but if a print is even remotely tall the nozzle bar ends up hitting and sometimes breaking the print. Are there any fixes for this?

Here is what you are looking for:

That has not happened to me here, printed a “dice tower” in three parts, all of them were well over 3 inches in height.

At the end of each one, the 3D print head moved directly up about 2-3 inches from the end point of the print, and stayed there. the Y axis moved all the way to the front, to “present” the finished print.

And, in other cases, it never ever tries to go to the home axis.

Using the latest Luban and firmware, as of this post.
