Switched filaments...and now

Is anyone having issues using Sunlu filament in their Snapmaker Artisan? I was experiencing some issues with the filament and the breakaway support filament on a model…so I tried restoring the factory defaults and then I ran the test print a number of times and each time I had the issue shown in the uploaded photo. Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong? I even set the filament settings according to the settings listed on the side of the filament spool that are recommended for the filament I’m using from Sunlu. Still same problem.

The first image is using the Sunlu filament and the second image was using the filament that came packaged with the Artisan when it was shipped to me.

Do you talk about the not removable breakaway support?

You did not mention what filament type you are using..

If I print pla I use petg as breakaway support and vice versa.

I’m using Sunlu PLA in orange and Snapmaker breakaway filament in white.

I guess the chemistry is the problem which causes too much adhesion.

In this case I see two options:

  • Tune support settings or
  • use other filament (Pla and Petg do not stick together)
