What Support Settings are people having luck with in SnapOrca? I love Support for x filament but with only 4 heads that will often be difficult to incorporate…
If you want to use a specific material as support, just install the filament and select it here before slicing.
No, sorry, I meant that I do like a specific material; however, with only 4 tool heads I most likely won’t use a specific Support for material.
Therefore, I’m looking for the best settings for the material being used to print with.
Hope that makes sense.
I think the default support setting will mix support materials up so the next layer active toolhead prints support.
It depends… What setting? .2 .16 .12?
Personally, with what I print, I use organic tree settings, build plate only, Top Z distance .25, sometimes I’ll change the layers from 2 to 3 but not very often.
That’s for .2
Otherwise my top Z distance is always raised by an increment of .5
So for .16 its set at .21
These are literally the only things I change for most things that “I” print… Supports come off like butter and work every time.
Appreciate that @Cylonmode
Anytime!
Also, if I ever think I’ll have issues with really tall supports I’ll increase the “First Layer Expansion” to 5 or 7mm. It gives the support a wider base and makes it a little stronger on the build plate.
