So I got the blob of death

So I got the blob of death on print #1 on my SnapMaker U1. Toolhead 2 the nozzle is totally hosed filament all the way up inside the plastic sheeth. Took off the toolhead and disconnected it. Is there a way to use the printer without toolhead 2 connected? I keep getting Toolhead Disconnected errors and teh entire thing seems bricked. how do i get a replacement hotend with the proper cables?

You can submit a ticket at the same time in case the technical staff or fellow users in the forum don’t respond promptly.

Or you can first try the following method:

  1. First check if the pogo-pins are dirty and causing poor contact—wipe the pins with the included scouring pad.
  2. If it persists, make sure the Type-C cable is fully seated.
If neither helps, contact tech support for a full check.

Nope, it needs all 4 heads connected to work.

If the head is ok apart from the nozzle, you should be able to reconnect it and use the other 3 as long as you’re careful not to select it when loading and slicing etc.

As well as contacting Snapmaker regarding a replacement, I’d order some nozzles and even complete spare heads.

OK—in that case it’s best to contact technical support.
