Feeder Cable connector broken out of the box

Hi all, I just received my brand new U1, just unboxed and I was trying to finish the setup. When I looked at the left filament feeder connector here’s what I saw:

the connector is totally broken and, of course doesn’t plug…I don’t care why etc. I simply would like to know where I can find a replacement cable…I see it’s not present at all in the shop…I already opened a ticket to the technical support but got no answer yet…does anyone know where I can get a new cable?

Thanks

Andrea

This link will lead to a set of cables (2) of 15 pins that are male to female, used as extensions cables. If your failed cable requires two female cables, you’ll probably find them using similar terminology in the search field. It isn’t necessarily going to be fast, as it’s a China based operation.

the problem is that I don’t know what connector is used for plugging into the board…

If you’ll be replacing the broken one, it means you’ll have to open up the case to determine that information.

the above shows removing the side of the case and all the steps leading to that, but it does not show the cable end that connects to the main system board(s).

The odds are good that it’s going to be male (socket) on the board, requiring a dual female (plug) cable of sufficient length.

I found them as well:

Be certain to select Double Same as shown in the photos, as well as an appropriate length. From what I recall seeing in a much earlier video, the cable on one side has to traverse the entire width of the printer as one set connects adjacent to the other.

thanks for your suggestions! I give it a look

Why would you go to the trouble of buying a new cable when the machine is new?
Snapmaker will send you a new one free. I would not even accept having to replace it myself, especially if it involves opening up the case, but what else can you do? If this was a car you would go straight back to the dealer.

change the whole printer for a connector? Repack it, book the carrier, wait it to arrive to Snapmaker and then wait again for the new one?? seriously?

Pretty sure Snapmaker will send you a new one and talk you through how to fit it.
