SnOrca v2.3.3 BUG? Multi-material support prime tower sticking issue

I’ve printed this model 7 times without issue. Now, PETG support keeps on failing to stay inside of the PLA prime tower. I’ve tried auto flow rate and bed level and gotten the same result. I can’t figure out what changed? Same file, same filaments.

I also don’t get why PETG support only has one tiny spot on the 1st layer of prime tower

I think the issue here is that something has changed in 2nd layer. PETG support in prime tower prints a much larger area than previous print which caused detachment.

Previous prints

print with prime tower fails

The issue could be a bug in SnOrca 2.3.3’s prime tower optimization improvement.

PETG support should be printed on 1st layer as vanilla Orca does, but SnOrca doesn’t print PETG support on 1st layer at all except a tiny blob.

Would be the best to open a ticket:

I could say, they know about some bugs and there will be a new Beta version of snorca, probably by the end of the week.

Maybe share the log with them too:

Snapmaker:

Thank you for your active discussions and valuable feedback on the Snapmaker Orca V2.3.3 Beta over the past few days. We have now identified the following known issues (specific to certain application scenarios). Our software team has located and fixed the problems, and we plan to release a version update addressing these issues by the end of this week (internal testing will be conducted in the coming days before release).

  • Issue with “Generic Support For PLA” not mapping correctly on the pre-print page
  • Maze-like and island-shaped path generation after painting and slicing dome models
  • “Fuzzy Skin” setting not taking effect
  • Layer shifting (misalignment) in infill for some models

As this is a Snapmaker Orca bug not a U1 bug, this thread should be in the Snapmaker Orca category not the U1 category.
