We’re excited to announce that Snapmaker Orca and Snapmaker App V2.3.5 are now available! This release brings several new features, including Top Cover controls, filament synchronization, an official filament color library panel, and support for dual-color official filaments.

New Features
Added Top Cover controls.
Added a filament sync feature. You can sync filament information from the printer to Orca using “Match Mapping” or “Direct Override”.
Added an official filament color library panel with support for dual-color official filaments.
Added a warning when Variable Layer Height and Subdivide Mix Layer are enabled simultaneously.
In Color Mixing mode, if an incompatible filament combination is used, slicing is blocked and an error is displayed.
Added support for Snapmaker PVA and optimized the print profiles for Snapmaker PLA-CF and Snapmaker TPU.
Improvements
Optimized the wipe tower structure by adding an opening in the outer wall.
Optimized the Snapmaker Orca startup animation.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where filament types were displayed incorrectly after reopening a saved project. This issue occurred when the project contained multiple filament types and the number of filaments was reduced in Orca after the project was saved.
Fixed an issue where 25% mixing recommendations were still displayed after the minimum mixing ratio for Match mode was set to 30%.
Fixed an issue where layer height subdivision was incorrectly applied to single-color regions. This occurred when Full Domain was enabled and both single-color and color mixing painting used the same layer height.
Fixed an issue that caused incorrect filament usage estimates for the wipe tower.
Fixed an issue where the wipe tower brim overlapped with the model brim.
Fixed an issue where web resources and process resources could not be used properly after a hot update.
The Independent Support Layer Height option is now available without disabling the wipe tower. It is unchecked by default.
Fixed an issue where Snapmaker Orca could become unresponsive after startup on some PCs.

Stability & Compatibility: Assess overall software stability, including but not limited to: communication interruptions, crashes, freezes/unresponsiveness, and unexpected error prompts.
User Experience Feedback: Collect observations on interaction flow, UI/UX friction points, or any aspects that feel unintuitive or cumbersome during use—suggestions for optimization are welcome.

Important Test Rules & Notices
The beta software will not cause any damage to the printer hardware itself. Users can exit the beta test by uninstalling the beta software/Apps at any time.
I also want to share that, to keep improving the software experience, we’re making Beta testing a regular thing for Snapmaker Orca and Snapmaker App. Going forward, we’ll be running tests on an ongoing basis and plan to build a team of at least 100 community testers over time. Participants will receive gift cards as a thank-you for each test they take.

The first few Beta rounds will be public, so everyone gets a chance to jump in. Over time, as we build a reliable group of active testers, we’ll likely shift to a private Beta to keep things more focused.

I’ll be happy to help with beta testing. I’ll look to install and start soon. Unfortunately your testing timetable is very short and I’m traveling during part of the timeline so I’m not sure how helpful I’ll be.
Question, can the beta version be installed alongside with the released version so either can be used as needed without un-install/re-install cycles?
But for the Android app, I guess we’ll all need to be invited, as it won’t let me install the beta app.
Hi, some problems but not all i think were introduced by this version.
Mixed nozzle setup.
If I define one nozzle with different diameter and press “synchronize nozzle filaments” then i get a popup which tells me that i can not use different nozzle sizes and makes me pick up one for all of them
If i don’t do it then i can print with different nozzles just fine, all I have to do is to define line width in percentage, like in the screenshot below.
I had some issues with login. I use for my Snapmaker account no username / password. I do instead login with Google. But the first time, it was not working.
If I clicked on Google, I was asked for mail address, was not able to use the macOS 27 Password app. After entering username, I was asked for password, also needed to enter manually, since Password app was not supported.
Then I was asked for multi factor authentication with the YouTube app on my iPhone, which I successfully did.
But then in Snapmaker was displayed a page with code instead the information that I was logged in successfully.
I needed to close the Snorca and reopen it again. Now I was able to login successfully to select Google, then my displayed Google account.
After installing the V2.3.5 Beta on my macOS 27 Beta 3 MacBook Air, I opened Snorca, connected successfully to the printer and tried directly the new filament sync option.
But I got not the Sync Window where I can select the sync options. It does directly synced the filament infos and updated it for Tool Head 1 - 4. After closing and reopening Snorca, I got the Sny filament information window.
But it read instead QIDI as manufacture for all 4 filament spools Generic.
If I select manually the filament from the list, then I can QIDI select, as before with older Snorca Version.
As you can see in the Machine filament list, the right manufacture will be shown:
Can’t bind my printer local in the iOS Snapmaker app, since for entering the IP address instead a point, only a comma is available.
iPhone is set to language German and Region Europe.
