I am currently laser engraving wooden spheres and I need many of them.
The problem is, that when I want to start the next engraving, the snapmaker artisan does not remember the position like when doing 3 axis engraving. It simply moves the toolhead downwards from whatever position it is at. That results in the toolhead crashing into the rotary module if not manually moved before starting the process. (I had to replace the laser shield after it broke on my 40watt laser because of that)
If the toolhead would move to the X/Y position it last started at, at a height the rotary module can’t be(Z=200~) and then move downwards to the last start position, a perfect repeatability would be achieved.
