Snapmaker 2's out of filament detection -AND- Octoprint?

Hello, fellow (Snap)makers.

Re. Snapmaker 2’s out of monofilament detection…

Is there any way to take advantage of it while one is using Octoprint?

I just had my first time of running out slipping up on me by surprise, and because I was printing from a Raspberry Pi using Octoprint, I got no detection of being out of monofilament.
