I had to take apart my extruder due to a filament jam.
I forgot which direction the side fan of the extruder was facing? Sticker side up, or sticker side down?
I have the Snapmaker original.
Thanks

The Fan blows on the heatsink.
This means, it blows into the module.
Hope this helps.
If the extruder is connected, the fan will start spinning as soon as you turn the unit on. So flip it on, see which way it blows, then turn it off.
I had the same issue. I also didn’t turn the unit off while I screwed the fan on, and I broke several fan blades when the screwdriver slipped.
Yes. Thank you very much
Hi,
I have the same (and more) problem: which side of the heatsink fan does it have to show?
I broke 2 blades in the same exact way, screwdriver slipped while on.
Now both fans do not work and when I go to change filament, the LCD screen shows target+current temperature but shuts down after a while and freezes.
I have a Snapmaker original.
Any suggestions?
To answer Tagz7781, I think the fan goes sticker side you as you mount it.
