Sick and tired of layer shifting

Hi,

  • already had support on this
  • been following the procedure from that web page to check the belt tension and many more
  • both heads have been replaced
  • the connector board in the back has been replaced
  • recently added grease on x/y axis

I constantly have to print at 50% speed while that f__king printer is supposed to be “the fastest idex blah blah”

I am that close to sell it on ebay

so if anyone had these constant issues of failed prints every once in a while because of layers shitfs, I am all hears

Did you try to decrease your acceleration instead of print speed?
Which axes are affected?
Maybe a simple cooling fan pointed to the stepper motor would help also.

If it is your y-axis, you probably have the acceleration set too high. The motor can’t compensate for slinging that heavy y-gantry around at high acceleration. Like punching the gas on a powerful car causes the wheels to spin, high acceleration causes the motor to skip.
