Is there any way to remember the 3d print bed calibration between tool changes?
I just swapped back from laser to print and foolishly assumed that it would have remembered the calibration settings. Since it didn’t my model started printing about 5cm up in the air.
The trade-off of having a 3-1 machine is that you always should recalibrate after switching modules… Never rely on saved settings. They might get erased during a firmware update for example…
Interesting. Yesterday I put the 3DP back on after some laser & CNC work. It reminded me to calibrate the printer. I made a mental note that was a nice feature since I forgot. The CNC & laser kind of required it but I wasn’t thinking about the printer and was going to start it without the calibration. I wonder why yours didn’t remind you. I did do a firmware update.
