Printing quality issue - looking for help

I understand why people want to migrate projects from Bambu Studio to Orca, but they are not paying attention to compatibility issues. That’s why the many translation projects currently underway. There is one which provides an interface from Bambu Studio to drive a U1 directly.

The problem, as I see it, is incompatible .3mf. From what I understand (and I stand to be corrected), Bambu have played a bit loose with the specification for .3mf. I’m sure you would have better success exporting from Bambu Studio as .stl and slicing that, but it would lose the colouring. I’m not sure what alternative formats might be available for export from Bambu and import into SnOrca, but have a look and see whether any produce the desired results. It would be useful if you document your findings.

Existing projects:

I suggest trying them all to see which is most promising.

Rather than risk an actual print, you can always preview the print in SnOrca and see what the tool paths will be.

However, I would be inclined to try “cleaning” the Bambu .3mf through another tool such as Blender. Read the file in, then re-export it and see what you get.
