With the Snapmaker model ecosystem looming on the horizon, I released bambu2orca which was based off some very ugly Python code I had written to convert Bambu / Makerworld profiles to Snapmaker U1 (Snorca/Orca) compatible profiles a while ago.
bambu2orca tries to do as close to a 1:1 print profile conversion, keeping all of the original model print settings that the creator set for their model to print properly, but also keep the default Snapmaker U1 machine settings.
It retains all of the original filaments and slot assignments so all objects colors and painting remain intact. It does not force you to only pick 4, it preserve the original designer’s filament layouts.
However, it will give you the option to replace non-Snapmaker or non-Generic filaments, with Snapmaker or Generic, while keeping all of the color → object and painting intact.
It supports individual 3MF and batch 3MF conversions. There is never any model/mesh data uploaded and all of the conversions happen inside your browser. So, your model data never leaves your web browser to sit on a remote server.
This tool targets users who just want an easy way to convert Bambu 3MF to Snapmaker U1 without having to go through the tedious process of clicking through all the warnings, setting the printer profile to Snapmaker U1 and then saving the 3MF as a U1 profile or you are a creator who would like to have a streamlined process for converting your models from Makerworld to U1 profiles for the new Snapmaker model platform, but were dreading the same tedious process.
