I’m having an issue with the dual extruder print. I am trying to print a block with text. (See image.) I normally use Luban for my prints, but when I tried to create the g-code, some of the letters were cut off, and I couldn’t figure out why. I tried Orca; the preview was good, but the print, as you can see in the picture, was not. It seems that the second extruder stopped in the middle of the job. I printed it twice, but the result was the same. Any idea why?
I will try printing it from Luban, but it would still be interesting to know why the second extruder stopped in the middle. I also noticed that Orca changed the depth of the Text slightly. In 3D, the depth is two millimeters in Orca is greater.
It’s quite tiny pieces with the grey colour.
I think you get heat creep which leads to a clog.
I would try to prevent it by increasing the prime tower size.
Playing around with standby or print temperature or tool change retraction could also help.
I changed the bobbin, putting white on the second extruder and gold on the first, and it worked, but the prime tower was a mess, so some filament got stuck in the 3D-printed model. I also changed the material in Orca, so the settings for each filament were the same as for the other prints. I don’t know why it worked. I will try increasing the prime tower.
I did it with Orca because I tried with Luban and it was even worse. The text didn’t print at all.
