If you swipe your screen while idle, you will see settings and such. you can find the firmware version in there.

Oh I see what you are saying, yeah that can be a bit confusing eh
Its implying that the touch screen and controller are going to have different versions, but the 1.8.0.0 is the value you are needing to know.
That is the firmware version as shipped
It wont let you over the air update the firmware on this version, you will need to put it on the USB stick that came in the toolbox to install it, after that it will let you download the updates from the screen though

Some people have some issues with wifi on it.
I personally think its good
Before this version, 1.9 was considered the most stable. The latest version is still brand new so havent heard too much about it yet
Another question, can you use another usb stick or is there a specel format need?
I believe the usb is formatted a certain way, but i am not 100% entirely sure about how important that is
