Hi guys,
yesterday my A150 arrived! Yheeeee!!!
The unboxing was really a great experience and I just got the feeling of very high quality and also the assembly procedure was great.
The first bad feeling was the cable and the connectors: I think they are not the same quality as everything else. (In the toolbox there is the cable guide but where to place it on A150?)
Also the power supply is not my best friend: It’s very big and the fan is incredibly loud!
The linear modules comes with a strange sign/color and they seems used instead of new. What do you think?
After upgrading the FW to the last version I made the auto calibration and z offset setup: I was expected that the auto calibration points refers to the extreme bad position like in the picture on the screen but they where not “touching” the extreme angles… Is it correct?
Anyway… I’ve just started a simple test with the standard Luban settings on stl file I made with Fusion 360 (simple handle for my doughtier wardrobe).
Here there is some pics… I’m newbie and I’m very happy but what do you think?
Great print!
My A350 cable guide screws onto the back of the linear module nearest the controller. I don’t really think it does much since the rest of the cables are not very well managed and flop around alot. I’ve also found that my bed heater cable is rubbing badly on the y splitters and starting to chew up the cable sheath. Not sure how to better attach it to something.
To be honest I’m really happy with this result considering that it’s just out of the box results.
With this blue filament I just increase all the temperatures on the Luban setting by 20C because of the spec on the filament box: the Snapmaker provided filament is 190-210C the blue one is 210-235C.
If you have any suggestion/tips to improve my print please feel free to help me!
Hey, i guess they have tried some linear modules to test the new? assembly line or something else.
There where pretty much defective linear modules in the past.- No worry about, i think.
Your print looks good so far, no need for adjusting anything right now, congratulations to your new friend
I found out the hard way on my A350 what happens when your cable comes out of the cable guide when I was running a boundary for cnc. Cable snagged on a clamp and pulled out of the head before I could reach power switch. May not be needed for 3d or laser, but cnc it’s important.
For the heater cable some people have just used a rubber band to hold it up and out of the way. Some people have printed a flexible arm that keeps it up.
I assume the discoloration is that they ran the modules to test them. So maybe that’s a good thing (if they didn’t run them too long or try to stress them intentionally and cause premature wear)
