I’m very confused as to the positioning of the image on the work. It’s just not making sense to me.
The settings are clear, and some couldn’t be more clear (like diameter) but for example, on work size, “length” is what exactly? The chuck allows a lot of latitude in where the physical piece is relative to the chuck. Is it all the way in, but for different diameters the insertion depth has to be different.
Then there’s the work origin. I don’t get to change that, it’s “top” (whatever that means…) but the way the picture is drawn it suggests the live center end (closest to the front of the machine… That can’t be right, can it?
And that bears on my original question about the pink banded area in the next screen. If the origin truly is the end farthest from the chuck (The length would bear on this) then the banded end makes no sense because the image could be FAR from the chucks.
I just want to know where the measurements are taken FROM, and how the settings interact.
