Latest Firmware

I installed the new firmware tonight in my A350 with enclosure now I cannot complete a print. The system keeps deciding that I am out of filament. It appears that the amount of torque required to pull the filament through the bushing in the enclosure is too high for the latest firmware release. Tried to arrange the white PLA roll several ways and the print keeps stopping with the machine claiming it is out of filament. I can reload the filament and print for a few minutes until it foes it all again. The filament path is not great with the enclosure on and something else needs to be engineered for to bring the filament through the enclosure. I will try to create a noodle to replace the current bushing. I think a piece of stainless tubing could be bent to better direct the filament path.

I don’t think that this is a firmware problem but an design fault of the enclosure.

I solved the problem within my filament holder.
But only the PTFE tube and the M6 connector a small printed part are enough to stop the print head from pulling the filament too hard so the sensor don’t see it.
See the pictures.

I agree poor design. I had several 10 plus hour prints that never tripped the sensor. This was with the last firmware.
New firmware can’t get 10 min. Before it shuts down. Design of Filament path is problem sensitivity of firmware is revealing the issue

Filament Holder for Snapmaker 2 Enclosure by rojaljelly

Beta version of my filament holder with bowden tube for the Snapmaker 2 enclosure. The position of the bowdent tube inlet is very badly placed (noticed after I’ve tried to Mount a fresh spool) so I have to design a new one the next days. Additional…

Hey there,
I made a similar solution with a tube-guided filament feed.
