Hey all, I have a very strange problem that has cropped up with my Laser Prints. Every print I try now seems to start as normal, and then at some point relatively early in the process, it seems to just start printing up and down without moving the X-Axis. The printer carries on as if it is completing the print, but doesn’t ever move to the right. I know that the linear module works as I am able to manually move it around with the touch screen and can successfully outline the true “Run Boundary” of the print and it moves all throughout the workspace in those situations, just when I try a real print, it seems to fail in this same way every time.
To make things a bit stranger, it seems to have happened all of a sudden as I have successfully printed the same files earlier this week, but now it stops moving at around the 5-10% complete stage (not quite consistent when it fails, have seen anywhere from 5-19% ranges while watching).
I have attached a couple of photos of a successful print from earlier this week alongside the same print and the end result. The last photo is me trying to get anything to print and you can see the vertical line where it fails, (rotated the MDF to try attempts 2-4 each).
Any help or guidance you can offer will be greatly appreciated as I’m trying to print up some keepsakes for my uncle for a family reunion he is hosting in August (the first successful photo).
I did try printing direct from USB, over Wifi, and also via the memory stick (my usual method) - all to no avail.
(whoops - guess I can only do one photo - so adding the one showing the success and what the failure of the same print was)
