Since upgrading to the magnetic plate, I’ve been having issues with calibration. It appears that Artisan does not accept the calibration or does not implement any height adjustments.
The entire plate has a 0.8 mm difference. In the video, you can see that no height compensation occurs to adjust for the 0.2 mm discrepancy. I have calibrated multiple times, even reset to factory settings and started over from scratch. No improvement.
Thank you for your help.
I’ve been sitting here from 8:00 AM until now trying to establish a connection with the Artisan. (Several reinstallation and calibration attempts didn’t help either. It just runs without compensation. Meanwhile, the calibration marks on the print bed are also starting to bother me. I’ve installed and uninstalled the CH340 driver, used a USB hub—nothing worked. Last attempt: buying a new USB cable… I’ll get back to you. It’s really frustrating when the Artisan doesn’t do what it’s supposed to, and the only way to access it is via a strange USB/clone connection instead of Wi-Fi. If it’s the “old” cables causing the issue, I’ll take it back )
I now have a connection to the Artisan via the port on the back . I was previously unaware of this port and couldn’t find any information about it via Google.
I entered M503 into the console, and it displays OK…just like when connected via Wi-Fi.
I have now started a support case.
Now he keeps losing Wi-Fi connection.
Under Cura, he activates the wrong nozzles.
I think something is very strange here…
To move forward, I have manually adjusted the print bed as accurately as possible: with small shims…
glad to of been of assistance, I was doing the same as you trying to connect to pronterface and couldn’t establish connection . I then noticed the mini USB and had to raid the bottom of my drawers for this an antique lead .
