When laser printing a little design with nc code created by lightburn I found a very noticeable shake in the Y axis as it can be seen in the following video:
No, that is not normal. It looks like your slider bearings are not tight. There are guides on the forum for fixing this, but personally I would use warranty replacement
That has changed recently, there is now an official support article on how to tighten the bearings:
Be very careful when reassembling, it’s easy to bend the microswitch when inserting the carriage.
Personally, I find the precise distances specified impossible to use constructively - instead I would recommend tightening the bearings so that a small amount of force is required to insert the bearings. That is, a small amount of compression to lightly ‘pop’ the bearings onto the rails, but otherwise it slides freely. The carriage can be inserted in both orientations for testing that, you don’t have to thread it into the lead screw to just adjust and test the bearings.
Contact support@snapmaker.com and then send them the video. My colleague will help you on this issue.
Send the order number and the following words to my colleague as well.
I use the machine couple of times a week mostly in 3d and Laser, but yes I have used CNC a few times, lets say between 15 and 30 times in 2h periods.
I have had the machine since August 2020.
