HELP Layers out off line

80085 ticketnr.
Is it the Gcode?

I downloaded the STL file and generate the G-code file in Snapmaker Luban with the Fast print model. I checked ticket 80085, Zero Zhao has asked you to check if the Y axes move in sync. You can keep in touch with Zero Zhao and check the Y linear modules.

Edwin

It would be appreciated if you can swap the X axis with one of the Y axes and then print the calibration cube to check if the shifting layers exists.

Attach the calibration cube gcode file here.
cube-test.gcode (1.1 MB)

let you know, its printing

The result very bad

Swap other and run again

second attempt, the second layer started to move back, same direction

I don’t know what to do anymore and this for a device one week old, which has only been able to make two good prints. Not even tried CNC and laser.

Today I completely disassembled the device and put it back together according to the manual as it comes new out of the box.
Updates, reinstalled software and tried the test cube

@ErwinDM yours is also only a week old?

As the models always shifted along the Y axes. We doubt the Y converter or the Y port on the controller is faulty.

  • You can swap the Z converter and Y converter and print the calibration cube and see if the shifted layers still exist.

  • We are going to send you a beta version of firmware with which you can use add-on-1 port on the controller as the Y port.

Edwin

The printer head never left the home position. All modules has zero movement.

Yes 1 week and 2 prints

The other is only a week old as well.

I think we have both bad lots

Could be. But receiving the machines at the same time and when each were manufactured are entirely different. Lot codes are the important part. We probably can’t see it on our end ad I haven’t actually looked to see if each part is labeled with its own, but I’m sure if they put in the lot number of the machine as a whole (which we do see) on their end, they can also see all the lot numbers for each individual part, QC would be far more difficult if not, and wouldn’t make sense for them not to track it that way.

I know, it may have been a bad joke. I am a medical technician and usually serial numbers and lot numbers are very important to us, therefore the comment

I have the possible troubleshooting of "Snapmaker-Edwin
Administrator "tried this with no positive result. Could it be that the controller is at the root of the problem?

Thanks Edwin for any help and possible solutions. if you have any ideas, please let me know

Did Edwin say controller or did you? I’m confused

i did, just ask if this could be the problem

Sorry for the problem. I have tested the beta firmware with the USB stick. Users cannot update the firmware successfully and the add-on port does not work.

As for the controller pack of the firmware, users need to upgrade it with the computer and the USB cable.

  • Download the attached files.

  • Install program “update_V1.2.exe”

  • addon1-for-x-20210513.bin

  • update_V1.2.exe

  • Open the serial port by clicking the “open” button

  • Click “Start Update” and choose the right file
    The controller will update automatically.

Edwin

If I understand correctly, you want me to move the x-axis and not the y-axis

Sorry for the mistake, I have corrected it.

You will download a file named “addon1-for-y-20210513.bin”
