I just received my A350 and this is my first foray into 3D printing. Started with a benchy that was pretty not good. Did some research and found that the feed rate needed to be calibrated - did that and got a new value of 248.48. Changed that setting and that helped somewhat. However, one of the rear posts of the windows kept getting broken off during the print. Figured what the heck and tried printing another benchy with the standard issue “High Quality” settings in Luban and the PLA that came with the printer:
Printing Temp: 205
Build Plate Temp: 70C init/50C after
Layer Height: .08mm
Top Thickness: .8
Infill: 15%
Infill Speed: 40mm/s
Outer Wall Speed 10mm/s
Inner Wall Speed: 15mm/s
Travel Speed: 60mm/s
The rear window upright didn’t break off this time, but did not achieve “High Quality.” The problems observed are:
-There is a dimple along the lower portion of the bow of the ship
-Roughness around the the holes in the bow and the windows of the cabin
-Roughness on the rear of the side of the boat
-A visible line about 7-8mm up from the bottom - like the ship grew in circumferance.
-Pretty heavy elephant’s footing around the base.
Using Luban 3.9.0 with firware 1.10.1
Any suggestions for a newbie would be appreciated.
