Don’t trust to it. It doesn’t work.

I just lost about $60 in filament. I was right there when the filament ran out, and replaced it immediately. It went to resume (after 50+ hours of printing), and it skipped a layer. Nothing stuck, and I wound up with a bird’s nest on top of my 1/2 finished project.

The situation couldn’t have been more idea for a mid-print filament change, and it STILL failed. I lost more than a spool of filament on just this one iteration (and it took many to get here).

I’m too irritated to be disappointed…

Thats odd, definitely report this to support.

I have had only one instance where I needed to use the filament run-out feature using 1.10.1 but it worked perfectly for me.

Perhaps you can slice the model at the layer where it failed onwards, print the second half and attach the two together to save wasting all that material, time and money.
