Morning guys, I’m having an issue pop up on my screen saying that the filament was breaking inside after the last update on the machine yesterday. I have had the machine for 2 weeks only. The second head, where I have the yellow, keeps breaking the filament. So every 5 minutes, I have to unload and reload again to keep working. Has anyone that have faced this issue? I swapped the colour to see if I would face the same issue in the new head. If it does make sense, to say that it is a bad filament? But if that issue persists in the old head with a different colour, then I will say that is a head issue somehow.
Unload the filament and see how it feels - does it snap in your hand? Aged/damp PLA can do that.
There’s probably nothing wrong with your filament. In the settings, set the value of the filament termination sensor to low. If you put it higher, this sensor also triggers for me, every 5-10 minutes of operation. It started after upgrading to 1.4.1
Please expound…I have never heard of that sensor or where the setting for it is located in the menu? Is it labeled filament termination sensor in the menu or something else? Thx cuz maybe I’m just overlooking it.
You need the printer firmware 1.4.0 and older. The latest 1.4.1. In the print settings, there is a sensitivity setting for the filament termination sensor.
It was low, I’m not just the one having this problem a guy that I watch him from Brazil he has few years with printers and he got 2 snapmaker and he is a YouTuber so, he was bring this problem and also the WiFi connection. I really think that snapmaker need to start thinking in to updates, one Is the WiFi connection to a minimum 5g and the other is to automate the hotend to throw out the excess of the filament remaining in the hotend after an each project completion
