I woukld much prefer to use the Snapmaker U1 via ethernet. It doesn’t look like the U1 will have an ethernet port, so can a USB ethernet adapter be plugged into the USB port at the back? Will this be supported natively or would I need to obtain SSH access to install ethernet adapter drivers?

I was referring to the specification of the USB port on the printer, which appears to now be finalised.

Based on the https://youtu.be/oebvEEOlaTI?si=I5zhZF8Doh8UV62k&t=471 , the Artery AT32F403AVGT7 chip is used. The datasheet is here clear - USB 2.0 (with max 480Mbps) is supported only. Frankly, I don’t see any real benefit here from USB 3.x or Gigabit Ethernet and if the U1’s USB port supports ETH d…

The USB port on the U1 is a Type-A port with 5V output at 0.4A.
