I want to engrave steel that has been coated with Cerakote, has anyone done this before ?
Any idea what laser settings to use for the 10W laser module ?
Any hints or pics would be helpful, thanks in advance.
Haven’t specifically tried cerakote, but can confirm that engraving or even cutting many types of ceramic coatings on a variety of materials (e.g. clay pots) yields awesome results with the 10W laser.
Typically it works better if the coating is not shiny but matte, but also engraved highly shiny porcelain successfully after a single quick spray coating with matte transparent model kit paint.
