Dual extruder Snapmaker 2

I bought the dual extruder upgrade that works ok except for….

I have the support assigned to the left nozzle and model material to the right nozzle.

When a print starts, without using support material it will startwith the support material but not the assigned model nozzle. But when I restart the same model it starts with the proper nozzzle. I use Cura 5.4 for all my printing will all settings correctly assigned for the nozzles, the machine has the latest firmware.

Any ideas why?

Is there a solution?

It’s a bug in Cura I believe, I was struggling with it for a while, sometimes you need to start print again, sometimes you need to restart printer, sometimes in Cura you need to switch extruder back and force, I guess it’s something connected to extruder assignment but in G code it seems like correct one in use, after switching to Orca I forgot about that problem.

Thank you. It’s easily lived with.

I found that “loading” the filament material to the nozzle you want the print to start with works. With Cura and the dual extruder it starts with what nozzle it has down. When restarting the job it switches to the correct one.
