Can someone tell me if the Snap Maker 3/1 has a “RESIN” PRINTING capability ?
No. Artisan is a FDM printer, not an SLA printer.
thanks for your reply.
So I cannot buy attachments to do SLA, that’s a bit disappointing.
I wonder why SNAPMAKER has not made this available yet ?
Completely different technologies, no machine exists that do both.
Just barely: Fabtotum - just when they went bankrupt - planned to add SLA technology to their FDM CoreXY system: The FABtotum PRISM Brings Stereolithography to their All in One Personal Fabrication Station - 3DPrint.com | The Voice of 3D Printing / Additive Manufacturing - they did a crowdfunding for that, but the company did not make it in the end. It is possible, but it yet does not exist.
@1959 why you are disappointed however I fail to understand. Snapmaker never even claimed to do this, so where do your expectations come from?
Maybe because there is no market for it? As far as i see no other printer company did it so far.
thanks for your reply.
I want to purchase an Artisan 3/1… it can do most of what I need & thats great. Unfortunately it cannot do some resin 3d printing & that means I need to buy additional equipment & thats a bit disappointing.
Yes, it is valid for all printers on the market.
Reisin print is a complete different technology and it wont work by simply swapping modules.
What you are looking for is a Porsche which can also act as a truck or a school bus. That will never work.
I am really annoyed with my oven. I am going to have to buy extra accessories to get it to make coffee!
this is my first look at 3d printing, thanks
The first one is a designers wet dream, never realized. Could be easily done with a printer and some Photoshop skills.
Beside that its not what i would call “truck”.
And the second one is just a random classic truck with some Porsche painting.
But while we are talking there was in history more than just sports cars created by that manufacturer
What you are looking for is an egg-laying jack of all trades.
Ad that simply doesnt exist.
