I’m kind of curious what the use case for this is…
With Orca Slicer, you can assign a different fill to each object, and with the modifiers, even within the same object.
You’d think that using different profiles for different objects (where you select different structure settings for each) would do that, but… no.
Luban slices the entire contents of the cube in a single go, and with a single configuration. You can fine-tune the heck out of everything, but what it ends up with is:
1 - a single STL generated by combining the results of whatever you do in the workspace (positioning, resizing, merging, whatever). This is true even for dual-extrusion heads: the models are combined into a single STL, with each extruder’s part marked so the slicer can split between extruders.
2 - a single configuration file with all the slicing settings for that one STL, the general machine settings, and extruder-specific settings if applicable (nozzle size, temperature, etc)
These 2 files (3 actually, there’s a fixed configuration block) get sent to the slicer in one operation. Since that configuration includes blanket statements like “This model has a 15% honeycomb infill” or whatever, it’ll apply to everything. Virtually (or actually) sending per-model configurations in a single operation would be a very significant change to Luban, and it’s unlikely to ever happen (even if Luban was still being updated) so… yeah, use SnOrca for that ![]()
