I just paused a CNC job and noticed that the spindle did not stop turning. This seems a little unsafe to me. Is this the way it is supposed to work?

The latest - just found out it’s intermittent. Probably a software issue.
@Vndrpttn if it’s intermittent that points more to hardware not software. Could be electrical, could be controller.
