CNC Movements are always linear

Hello,

I am currently in the process of milling a recess in a block on the basis of an STL file. In principle it works, but what I don’t understand is that the tool head always traces the full workpiece surface linearly and then only adjusts the Z-axis accordingly . Even a round hole is created from parallel lines and not by a rotational movement. Is this because Luban is not really suitable or am I using unsuitable input data? Or is it something completely different?

Thanks!

Yes, Luban is not that good like other cam programs but you should be able to do straight moves like circles if you use on the path and not fill.

Over all I would suggest to get deeper into the carving process and use Fusion 360 which is free for personal use.

great thank you!
