CNC bed - tip to stop inserts coming out

So I had a problem with some of the threaded inserts in the CNC bed popping out. So simple solution that should work in most cases is flip it upside down!!. that way when tightening it pulls the inserts into the bed rather than trying to pull them out!

What depth is your spoilboard? I am using an 18mm board with M6 inserts. It is said that they need a 9mm hole but you can get away with 8mm if you want. I am using 10mm inserts from underneath the wasteboard. When screwing the M6 cap heads into them to hold the clamps, it pulls the insert up into the hole further.

interesting. I’ve never had a problem with inserts coming out on my A350.
And I’ve really cranked them down.
