CerMark Black Laser Marking Spray/Paste Performance?

I’m looking at potentially buying some ‘CerMark Black Laser Marking’ spray or paste for use on ceramics, glass, and metals.

However, it’s not a cheap purchase, especially as a test, so before buying it wanted to check what peoples experience is, using it with the Snapmaker range?

Specifically:

  • How does it perform with the 1600mw laser?
  • How does it perform with the 10w laser?
  • If being used with an enclosure and the extractor tube going straight outside, are fumes from use of CerMark a concern?

So I first got myself chalk pens,
that works great with the 1.6W laser.
But since the pen does not cover so well I got the following on Thursday at our Lidl, but not yet tested.
Think but that covers better !!!

Is non-toxic and can be washed off with water !!!

This spray, I have here for my 3D scanner I will also still test, but must still wait for my 10W laser.

I’m going to try something else now.
Have seen a video about it.

  1. have me a normal iron plate with the dimensions 320*350mm.
    manufactured.
  2. tomorrow comes the gray primer this one :

3 This is applied very thinly on the iron plate and then after drying the acrylic glass is applied.
4. the laser focus is fixed on the iron plate.
(Should work with the automatic calibration 10W laser because it measures through the transparent acrylic glass.
5. laser the object.

I will report after a test, tomorrow comes the primer!!!
