Cambridge University Students Use Snapmaker for Functional Parts

I recently had the chance to visit the Cambridge University Riviera Racing team to document how they’re using Snapmaker machines in a real-world student engineering project.

The team is building a fully functional, student-designed boat and using 3D printing to prototype parts like:

  • Steering wheel mounts
  • Dashboard casings
  • Structural clamps
  • Propeller housings

The parts were designed in SolidWorks and sliced using Snapmaker Luban. After troubleshooting and refinement, the team took the boat for testing on the water at Grafham Lake!
